Angela Smith, Minister for the Third Sector, said: “The Connection in St Martin’s-in-the Fields is a great example of an organisation that is delivering vital help and their Government grant will enable them to provide a much needed weekend service for homeless people in the Capital. “Today the first 74 organisations have been offered Hardship Fund grants that range from £50,000 to £250,000. They provide real help to organisations in England delivering front line services to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. The Hardship Fund is still open for applications so there is still a chance for other organisations to benefit from the fund just as the Connection in St Martin’s-in-the Field has.
